Reading a market in public
You can learn a category from what companies choose to say out loud.
Collect ten homepages, ten pricing pages, and ten “about” lines in the category you want to enter. You are not looking for secrets. You are looking for the sentence everyone repeats.
Highlight the nouns. If every competitor says “platform,” “partner,” and “AI-powered,” those words are furniture. Your difference has to live somewhere else: a buyer, a constraint, a refusal.
Note the prices that are hidden. Hidden prices are a positioning choice. So is a price that is almost comically specific. Both tell you who the offer is screening out.
Write a one-page note: what the category promises, what it avoids, and the gap you are willing to own. That page is the brief for your own site.

The metric that actually moves
Most dashboards are a way to avoid deciding. Pick one number and a review.
